Thanks to NSW State Government Community Grant, we have purchased tablets which we know will make our competitons so much easier for you to recieve your scores.

BUT many members and volunteers have told us they are a bit apprehensive about using them...WE GET IT!!

  • Would you like to learn to pencil on the tablets but afraid to make a mistake at a competition?
  • Have you done some tablet pencilling but had a technical blip and been put off ever since?
  • Great when they work but what happens when they go wrong?!

Now is your opportunity to learn at a live demo session but without the added anxiety at a competition. Our demo riders will also make errors so that you can practice what to do when it all goes wrong. We will start right at the beginning…from what not to do when you hold the pencil! Then we will run through all test levels in real time with breaks to review progress and most importantly how to get back on track when things go wrong.

WHY???

Tablets make a big dent in the workload for the committee on the day, they also mean riders receive their marks faster and receive papers electronically.

Warringah Dressage Association now have tablets for our dressage competitions going forward but we need our pencillers to be as comfortable as possible to embrace them.

We hope you can join us for this training session – no doubt there will be some laughs along the way and maybe even one or two eliminations?!
Entry will be Via Nominate – and we will put the link up here very shortly.

Refreshments provided.

Thanks to a grant from the NSW Office of Sport, our Committee members were all wearing the new look, and very cool (temperature) shirts at our 2024 Championship Competition held on 24 Nov 2024.

If you feel you would like to get more involved in our club please send us an email warringahdressage@yahoo.com.au we would love to hear from you.

We know that everyone is busy and life is only getting busier, but if you have just a few hours a month that you could offer to continue the growth and expansion of all the club has to offer, we would be very keen to hear from you.

You do not need to be a rider, but some connection to a family member or even having ridden in the past is an asset. Most of all, we need your everyday skills and enthusiasm. It is fantastic when we see so many riders coming to our events and leaving with ribbons, rugs, prizes, rosettes, and best of all, big smiles and a great sense of achievement.

Warringah Dressage is a long establised Sydney Metropolitan Dressage club, but like all things it relies on the support of its members to ensure it continues to thrive. The current committee are dedicated to the continuance and growth of the club but we need some fresh insight from you, after all, you are the reason we are behind this.

We know that everyone is busy and life is only getting busier, but if you have just a few hours a month that you could offer to continue the growth and expansion of all the club has to offer, we would be very keen to hear from you.

WE NEED YOU to itch that secret "giving back" scratch and help WDA in 2023.
We only run 4 official competitions per year so your time is not taken up every weekend, but in the build-up to each competition there are jobs to be done and you know the saying "many hands" etc.
If you have an equine interest (or are in a family of someone that does) and can help your club continue to offer events for the local (and not so local) riding community at a friendly venue, we would love to hear from you.
We know you all have many talents beyond your love for dressage and we welcome all offers of assistance, but in particular we are looking for:
An event Whizz - To liaise with and look after our panel of great Judges in the build-up to and during competitions, ensuring they have all they need before & during the event and keeping them updated with Club events into the future.
A Social Whizz - To manage our social media pages and website, ensuring we are always visible, info is up to date and that we are generally looking tip top.
A People Person Whizz - To pull together the Club's existing network and build new ones for sponsorship of events. Also working with the "Social Whizz" ensuring our Sponsors have lots of love and attention throughout the year.
A Super organised Whizz - To make sure that our pre comp checklist is running smoothly, spend some time front of house (with existing committee members) at our events to help answer queries and generally help the committee with some simple admin. Also, to pitch in and help smooth running of our Championship day and best of all, get the party started at our end of year dinner.
If any of this has inspired you to join us (we really hope so) or you have any questions, then please send me Andrea Hails a quick PM via FB or email us and we can have a chat.
We are a friendly bunch, who are just keen to keep a long standing Metropolitan dressage Club in the mix, have a few laughs along the way (whenever possible) and feel like we have just given back a little bit. Hope you can join us.
